Internship Program
Training the Next Generation
We are dedicated to growing the field of veterinary medicine. Dr. Ron and Dr. Karen have mentored aspiring veterinarians for generations, from high school through college and veterinary school, and finally on to their own professional careers.

Apply
South Carroll Veterinary Hospital has a formal process for internship applicants. Please follow these instructions to ensure that you apply properly. To submit an application or for questions, please contact us.
High School
The Carroll County Public School system has a program called, “Career Connections.” If you are under 18 years of age, in order to be eligible to intern at South Carroll Veterinary Hospital, you must be enrolled in this program and have the requisite “CASE” starter courses completed. This requires an early start, as it takes several semesters to complete these courses prior to your senior year (when you would intern).
Please see the Career Connections coordinator at your high school for details on how to apply.
Community College
Carroll Community College Veterinary Assistant Program
As an enrollee in this program, you will be required to intern a minimum number of hours at a veterinary hospital. South Carroll Veterinary Hospital accepts internship applicants from this program. Please see your program director on how to apply.
If you are interested in the program you can learn more on their website.
Other College Students
If you are an undergraduate student and have an internship requirement, we will consider you on a case-by-case basis. It will depend on your prior veterinary hospital experience and dates of internship. If you are a college student looking for a paid summer position, we will consider applicants on a case-by-case basis, again dependent on prior experience.
Veterinary College
Congratulations! You’re in vet school! If your school has an internship requirement, we would be happy to discuss a position. Generally, by this stage you should be considering an internship at the hospital where you may be seeking employment.
